Reddit Saved Post Organizer

Overview

Reddit Saved Post Organizer is a browser extension that helps users save, organize, search, export, and optionally back up Reddit posts.

The extension is designed to keep user data local by default and only connect to third-party services when the user explicitly enables those features.

Data We Process

• Saved Reddit post metadata such as title, URL, subreddit, author, score, timestamp, notes, tags, folder assignment, and thumbnail URL
• Local extension settings such as sync preferences
• Google Drive connection data needed for optional backup sync
• Billing status returned by ExtensionPay for trial and paid-feature access

How Data Is Stored

• Saved post data is stored locally in Chrome extension storage on the user’s device
• If the user enables Google Drive sync, a backup copy of the extension data is stored in the user’s own Google Drive
• Payment card details are not collected or stored by this extension

Google Drive Sync

Google Drive sync is optional.

If the user chooses to connect Google Drive:

• the extension requests authorization through Google’s OAuth flow
• the extension reads and writes only the backup file it creates for the extension
• the extension uses the Google Drive scope configured for file-level access

If the user does not enable Google Drive sync, the extension does not upload saved-post data to Google Drive.

Billing and Payments

Paid features and the trial flow are handled through ExtensionPay, which uses Stripe for payment processing.

The extension may receive limited billing state information such as whether the user has paid, whether a trial has started, the associated email address, and the active plan information needed to unlock features.

Data Sharing

We do not sell user data.

We only share data with third parties in the following limited cases:

• with Google, if the user enables Google Drive sync
• with ExtensionPay, for billing and trial verification
• with Stripe, through ExtensionPay’s hosted payment flow

Data Retention

• Local extension data remains on the user’s device until the user deletes it or removes the extension
• Google Drive backups remain in the user’s Google Drive until the user deletes them
• Billing records are managed by ExtensionPay and Stripe according to their own retention practices

User Controls

• delete saved posts and folders from the extension
• export data as JSON or CSV
• disconnect Google Drive sync
• remove the extension from Chrome

Security

We aim to minimize data collection and rely on the browser’s extension storage and trusted third-party authentication and payment providers. However, no software system can guarantee absolute security.

Children’s Privacy

This extension is not directed to children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The latest version should be published at the privacy policy URL listed in the Chrome Web Store listing.
